September and October are busy months for your Anglers’ Club Steering Committee.  We must plan all of our activities for the coming year.  As always, we welcome your input to help us in this task.

 

With that in mind, we will have our regular membership meeting on Monday, October 13.  At that time and with your help, we will all be anxious to hear everybody’s ideas for the coming year.  The Board will then go back, develop a membership consensus, and work to finalize our plans to be ready for the start of our new season on November 1, 2008.  We will be sending out an email reminder.  If you are unable to attend the meeting or are still not in town, we would encourage you to send us your thoughts prior to the meeting so that we may discuss them.

 

Some of the items already on the table include the following:

· Raising dues to offset increases in our costs and to add more fun filled events.

· Changing our yearly tournament to shorter segments.

Getting more involved with other clubs and their events.

 

Last year we sent out a dues reminder e-mail to our members. Your response was great and it made our accounting so much easier. That e-mail goes out in October.  PLEASE NOTE: Your dues are due and payable on or before  November 1^st. 

 

Be on the look out for an invite to our club sponsored Membership kick off dinner which will also go out in October.  It will be very helpful if you respond to Joyce and sign up as soon as you see it.
