Here we go into another new year. I hope all of your holidays went well.

 

Last month Donn wrote the Captains log and gave me a very nice tribute. Yes, we have come a long way with membership and activities, however the credit for that also lies in the hands of your volunteer members listed in committees, and your board. Let’s not forget the hard work they all put in to make this happen.

 

That number has increased as recent as last month. Please welcome our new Lady’s Anglers Committee headed by chair Dee Poletti, and co-chaired by Betty Jumper. Also joining our food service committee are Pam Kay and Patti Portolese.

 

I thought that the reason so many people stepped up to the plate to help was either my winning personality, good looks, or even those tight fitting jeans. I brought that up to my wife, Sue, and her response was “Nah, it can’t be any of that,  you are getting old and don’t you remember the last time you wore jeans was 15 years ago in Indiana and they were baggy then”. OUCH.

 

In closing I would like to thank all of those people and look forward to working with them and others as they step up to help.

 

Don’t forget to sign up for the January 19th. Dinner. The club has stepped up again with a great program.
