During our November dinner meeting Captain Hal called for our lady members to get more involved in fishing events. Boy did that get attention, 18 ladies signed up and in a few short weeks called for Hal to hold a meeting to form a committee. At that meeting a chair and vice chair were appointed, Dee Poletti and Betty Jumper. Hal was asked to see how many captains were willing to take  lady  anglers out on occasions, if there were experienced anglers willing to go with them to teach, and if there could be some just lady angler events as to not compete with our male anglers. Hal reported that after asking  captains they all were excited  about the concept. The first event will be either pond or surf. How exciting.

 

However, we have already had some Lady Angler successes to report.  Below, Anci Drahota shows off her recent catch made while outside fishing.  At right, Judy Carrino shows us her recent catch.
