In the past, our Anglers’ Club Tournament has been an event lasting the entire year. In an effort to even the playing field between our seasonal and non-seasonal residents, the following changes have been made:
THERE WILL NOW BE TWO (2) TOURNAMENTS EACH YEAR
The first tournament will take place during the Winter/Spring “season” from November 1 - March 31. Awards and prizes will be figured for this specific event. Species eligible for this tournament are:
Inside: Trout, Triple-tail, Pompano, Snook, Flounder, Sheepshead Outside: Billfish, Cobia, Dolphin, Grouper, King, Snapper, Tuna, Wahoo
The second tournament for Summer/Fall will take place from April 1 – October 31. Awards and prizes will be figured for this specific event. Species eligible for this tournament are:
Inside: Trout, Triple-tail, Pompano, Snook, Flounder, Sheepshead Outside: Billfish, Cobia, Dolphin, Grouper, King, Snapper, Tuna, Wahoo
Remember, there are prizes for both numbers of fish and largest (longest) fish of each species – SO EVERYONE ALWAYS HAS A CHANCE TO WIN!!
In addition, THREE (3) Special Fishing Events (not tournaments), each lasting one day, will be held during the course of each tournament. Awards/Prizes will be figured for each Special Event. All fish caught in Special Events will also be entered into the regular tournaments if qualified. Examples include a Pompano Special Event in the winter and a Dolphin Special Event in the summer.
